3) Learning outcomes monitoring, covering all the involved groups

4) Drafting and disseminating a training guide “From Throughcare to Aftercare - the effectiveness of appropriate and targeted communication in prison”

A specific and continous Working Package on Coordination and Management will guarantee the prompt and effective coordination of the project, ensure that contractual and reporting obligations are met in time and maintain effective liaison with the EU Commission.

WORK PACKAGE 1

The goal of WP 1 is to guarantee effective coordination of the project, to ensure that contractual and reporting obligations are timely met in a and to maintain effective liaison with the European Commission. Monitoring and assessment of project activities will be based on the procedures, tools, and criteria, developed in WP 5 (Quality plan, project monitoring and project evaluation).

WORK PACKAGE 2

WP2 aims to outline the Methodology, modules for training and communication and evaluation features that will determine the REHAB Training process. This WP will have a conceptual and effective character, representing the core phase of the project, being arranged in different tools: classroom training, sensitivity groups, tutoring and coaching; it is intended to reach all the prison working categories. At this stage the training model, objectives, tools, users’ characteristics, knowledge and skills of trainers and target groups will be defined. Regarding to the specific contents of the training program, information will be collected from the partners’ experience in the field. The training modules will be implemented and tested in 2 detention institutes in Italy and Spain.

WORK PACKAGE 3

WP3 consists in Communication and Training Trial. The REHAB Project is divided into a training program consisting of classroom training and sensitivity groups. The REHAB Pilot Project aims to launch an innovative training program which intends to improve health and hygienic conditions in prison, strictly linked to a proper psychological and communicational strategy within the detention environment. WORK PACKAGE 4

The goal of WP4 is to evaluate the experiences carried out and results. At the end of the trial of training courses (for trainers, agents and inmates), it will be relevant to assess satisfaction and learning outcomes of the two targets. In this task tools will be used to detect satisfaction and tools to detect learning levels of the targets, in terms of effectiveness and efficiency of the training program. The results of this evaluation will feed into a report which contains the guidelines for implementing training program format.

WORK PACKAGE 5

The goal of WP5 is to plan and implement consistent procedures, tools and criteria to monitor and evaluate the quality of work performed within the project. Results from monitoring activities will provide a key input for the work of the SMC and the CPO and for the revision of the project methodology in Evaluation of the experiences carried out and format release (WP4).

WORK PACKAGE 6

The dissemination and communication plan aims to spread awareness of REHAB Project among institutional stakeholders (national institutions, employment services, training organization, prison staff, detention institutes, organizations concerned with services for inmates, universities, research institutes, professionals, etc..) and stakeholders of the project (sanitary personnel, psychologists, inmates and prison officers).

WORK PACKAGE 7

WP 7 consists in the exploitation plan: the follow up of the project is the core part of it and determines its success, usability and appliances to other possible critical contexts. Fixing a protocol for the communication between detention institutes and the health-care services represents a first step in the awareness of the importance of continuity healthcare and can be exploited in any situations requiring a permanent sanitary assistance for population in critical conditions.
